The story

How we did it

The challenge

Many London children are hurting with hunger - an almost invisible issue. With donor fatigue and a cost-of-living squeeze, cutting through to make people care was harder than ever.

The strategy

We made the hidden truth impossible to ignore, printing children’s unspoken thoughts onto their clothes - t-shirts reading ‘EMPTY TUMMY AGAIN’, football kits ‘TOO HUNGRY TO PLAY’ - with ethical, AI-generated photography, launched big on Piccadilly Lights and premium OOH.

A Felix Project volunteer in a branded green T-shirt watches the charity's takeover of the Piccadilly Lights screen in London.A passer-by films the Felix Project takeover on a phone as the Piccadilly Lights screen reads "Visit thefelixproject.org to donate now".
A green Felix Project-branded London taxi passes beneath the Piccadilly Lights screen asking "Would you help if their hunger was visible?"The Piccadilly Lights screen shows a child opening their coat to reveal a T-shirt reading "Going to school empty", as onlookers film on their phones.

"We couldn’t be more impressed with the results. The Maverick Group have been an incredible strategic and creative inspirational partner, and this campaign is a standout example of how they can turn their unique brand of impactful marketing into a brave fundraising campaign that not just supported The Felix Project’s fight against hunger in London but created ongoing sources of donations for us."
