The internal software development division of a major UK automotive retailer was spun out to be a PLC with the ambition to be a global leader in automotive retail technology solutions. This meant building a brand that could compete against very established players in the North American market.

The business transformation of PINEWOOD.AI is being supported by a cultural transformation to build a learning and performance culture required to support the increased diversity of customer needs as the business expands globally and the increased complexity of development as the platform evolves to become AI-driven.

Rebranded as PINEWOOD.AI with a Mission to unlock customer value by increasing their customers’ Automotive IntelligenceTM. This was defined as the ability of an automotive business to drive growth through a superior end-to-end understanding, in real-time, of its operations and activities so it can make better commercial and business decisions, faster and more easily.

Results

  • Pinewood has made an extremely strong start to life as a PLC with FY 2024 results ahead of analyst expectations, upgraded revenue forecasts and an official launch in North America scheduled for 2026
  • Their Capital Markets Day presentation to investors, which we organised, saw a 200% increase in web users and a 132% increase in organic search
